Hello, Jenny, this is Linda. I know you weren’t at school today, so I want to tell you about the school news. You remember our class went on a school trip to a farm last week and learnt about farm animals. Tomorrow our class is going to go on a school trip to the zoo.

We are doing projects about different animals. Penguins, giraffes, monkeys. You and me must do a project about tigers. I’m going to take some photos and talk to a zookeeper about tigers. I’ll send you some photos and the text with some interesting facts about tigers which I’ll write.

Leo and Max are best friends. Leo had an elephant named Manny, but Manny was a problem. Leo wanted to sell him.

One day Leo met Max. «Hi, Max!» said Leo. «You know, my life is amazing now! I have an elephant. He’s fantastic! My wife uses his trunk to wash dishes. My children ride on his back all day. Even our dog plays with him in the yard!»

«Really? That’s incredible! I want an elephant too!» said Max. Leo sold Manny to Max. Max was very happy.

A week later they met again. Now Max looked very tired. «How are you, Max?» asked Leo. «Terrible!» said Max. «This elephant is a disaster! He broke all our plates. He destroyed the flowers. The yard is a mess. The children cry because they are scared. The dog barks all day from fear!»

Leo smiled and said: «My friend, with such a bad mood you will never sell this elephant!»
