Hello, Jenny, this is Linda. I know you weren’t at school today, so I want to tell you about the school news. You remember our class went on a school trip to a farm last week and learnt about farm animals. Tomorrow our class is going to go on a school trip to the zoo.

We are doing projects about different animals. Penguins, giraffes, monkeys. You and me must do a project about tigers. I’m going to take some photos and talk to a zookeeper about tigers. I’ll send you some photos and the text with some interesting facts about tigers which I’ll write.

Emily Dupont is from France. But she was born in Spain because her mother is Spanish. Her father is from Germany. He was a very successful football player. Emily’s mother was a famous figure skater.

Emily is very young but she’s become one of the world’s best tennis players. She began playing tennis when she was six. At the age of ten she played her first match. She didn’t win but she was happy. Now Emily is fourteen and she won her first prize one year ago.

She now lives in Serbia because her coach is from this country. She has got a small house there.

She also practises other sports, like swimming and running. Of course, she’s had some accidents. Last month she fell on the court. She couldn’t take part in any competitions because her right arm was broken, so she was in hospital.

She’s got many friends. When Emily has got some free time she comes to France and visits her parents who live in a big house. She also rides bikes with her friends or swims with them in the swimming pool. Emily can run very fast but she can’t swim very well.
