Electricity has changed our life in many ways. We can now stay up longer and devote more time to work, studies or entertainment because we don’t depend on the daylight anymore. Still, lighting your home needs energy, and you should never forget about energy-saving measures in your household.
If you want to run an eco-friendly household, an important thing is to invest in the right light bulbs. Energy-saving light bulbs are more efficient than the old ones. They have actually been in our shops for a long time, but it has taken people much time to come round to the idea. Energy-saving light bulbs are slightly more expensive than ordinary ones but they are certainly not a waste of money. Such light bulbs use much less electricity thus cutting your electricity bill down. They also last longer, which means you don’t have to spend money replacing them. One energy-saving light bulb can substitute six ordinary ones.

Hi Max! I’m recording this as I can’t send the illustrations for our "Shopping" project. I’ve chosen two images showing different ways to shop. The first one depicts a traditional family shopping trip in a supermarket, with a cart full of groceries. The second shows a modern, individual online purchase, with a woman using a credit card on her computer.
These methods have clear advantages. In-store shopping lets you see and touch products immediately and can be a social family activity. Online shopping is incredibly convenient, saves time, and offers a much wider selection of goods.
However, each has its drawbacks. Physical shopping can be time-consuming, tiring, and often involves impulse buys at the checkout. Online shopping has delivery costs and waits, you can’t inspect items before buying, and there are risks with personal data and card security.
Personally, I prefer online shopping for most things. The convenience and ability to compare prices from home are unbeatable for me. However, for fresh food or clothes where I need to try them on, I definitely go to a store. Let’s use these points to structure our project comparison!
Hi Max! I’ve picked two pictures for our project about shopping. One shows a family buying groceries in a supermarket. The other shows a woman using her credit card to shop online. Shopping is something everyone does. It can be fun but also expensive. It’s important to be careful with money and not buy too many unnecessary things. For our project, I think we should explain what shopping is and show these two examples. We can say that people shop in different ways. Maybe we can also talk about making shopping lists to save money.
Hi Max! I’m sending you this message because I can’t upload the images right now.
You know, finding the perfect visuals is half the battle for a good presentation. I chose these two pictures because they represent a fundamental choice in modern consumer behavior.
The first image, with the family, has a warm, traditional feel with its focus on group activity and physical products. The second one is sleek and modern, symbolizing the digital age and instant transactions. I was thinking we could use a very clean, minimalistic slide design with lots of white space to make these photos really pop. We should also find some recent statistics about shopping trends to add credibility. Maybe we can even include a short interactive poll for our classmates during the presentation.
What’s your opinion on this overall aesthetic and interactive approach?
